Chapter one if doing the completionist route would require 5,830 suppressed emotions to complete. With 2 vibe upgrades costing 60 suppressed emotions that are required for the player to move from chapter 1 to chapter 2. The game is designed to make the early chapters essentially “teach” the players how to deal with their limitations. If the player tries to collect all upgrades in the 1rst chapter with only 14 prayer bead slots, the time it takes to find the suppressed emotions, collect them and return to base would take an average total time of 21 hours to complete, so likely 21 days if the player played for one hour a day. But if they upgraded their prayer beads from 14 slots to 21 in chapter 2, to 28 in chapter 3, or to 35 in chapter 4; their time grinding for resources would be cut exponentially. In chapter 5 with the sage archetype they will be able to fully upgrade their prayer beads so they look like an infinity loop and they will be able to store infinite amount of suppressed emotions. This would considerably cut their time needed to go to base. Also in chapter 4 after unlocking the Lover’s power, they can attract more of the same type of suppressed emotion they have been searching for, making the game progression even more efficient. This would progress the game from the player learning to work with their limitations to learning to work with their freedom.
